The opportunity

Imagine Van Gogh, the immersive exhibition, pays tribute to the genius of Van Gogh’s work and life. An experience that brings viewers to the heart of its images, Imagine Van Gogh is accompanied by the music of the great composers Saint-Saëns, Mozart, Bach, Delibes and Satie.

In 2021, Imagine Van Gogh was seeking support in encouraging South Asians in Metro Vancouver to visit the Imagine Van Gogh Exhibit hosted at the Vancouver Convention Centre, amidst pandemic restrictions. They contracted 5X to create brand awareness regarding their exhibition, to our demographic. 

The outcome

We produced a creative in-house short form video, posted to Instagram, to encourage our viewers to attend the exhibit. This allowed us to connect one of the very few in-person events in Vancouver to the massive local South Asian population in a collaboration that drew parallels between the painter’s depictions of the South of France and our experiences in the fields of Panjab - coming together in a Bhangra dance performance at the exhibit itself.

The resulting videos have been viewed and shared tens of thousands of times and created a meaningful bridge between the art and our community.
