It’s Women’s History  month and it’s no secret that femxles are some of the largest, most innovative power players in the music industry. On the heels of global expansion and their new venture in India, Mass Appeal is recognizing the Womxn they admire through a digital cover spotlight series, #WorldIsHers.  We’re talking all things Fadia Kader— from festivals like AC3 and time at Complex and Def Jam, to helping build the likes of Anik Khan, while reinventing music partnerships at Twitter and now Instagram--we’ve got a girl crush.

Responsible for Complex’s first Influencer Program, and having roots as a stylist and artist manager, Kader has pretty much done it all and then some. Pulling looks as a buyer and stylist for Janelle Monae led Fadia to apply fashion sense to music and begin managing artists and booking her own shows; one of which was Drake’s first sold out shows in ATL in 2009.

Much of Kader’s success is attributed to hard work, entrepreneurial knocks and forecasting skills- being able to see a long term vision but communicate the foundation early-on. Utilizing IGTV Fadia was able to post Beyonce’s first long-form video reaching over 12 million views and more recently was the mind behind Instagram’s “Share Black Stories” #SBS campaign for Black History Month in 2019. Consistently encouraging artists to “become effective storytellers” Fadia encourages aiming for authenticity, consistency and niche cult followings as opposed to seeking perfection and over curation.

As a Palestinian-American Fadia is hyper-passionate about representation and is the mind behind the #ProtectYourMagic movement, designed to encourage protecting yourself professionally, personally and internally.  Chances are you’ve seen the words “Protect Your Magic” painted globally across sidewalks, buildings, walls and more. Inspired by her time in Mexico City and India, Fadia is all about making time for yourself and protecting your energy,

Be it brand partnerships, concert production, styling or whipping up new recipes in the kitchen Fadia Kader is #goals and a testament to the power of forward thinking and innovation.
